Load your route. Put your phone in your pocket. Walk.
I'm building RHike because I just wanted to walk, without a subscription, without a company logging my movements, without creating a profile and following friends first. So I'm making the app I want to use myself: one that just does what it needs to, so all I have to do is enjoy the walk.
And soon it gets even easier: this site will collect the finest GPX routes. Load them straight into RHike, or download them for whichever app you use yourself. These routes are and stay free, as I reckon it should be.
To really get the app right I still need some help. Through the short survey I hear what RHike should cost, and you can sign up right away as a tester to walk with the first version from the Play Store. Am I overlooking a feature? I'd love to hear that there too.
Pay once. Yours forever. No subscription.
No account, no followers, no fuss. Just walking.
No tracking. We don't store your data.
Works offline. Load your GPX route and walk it.
The first version of RHike is nearly ready. I am looking for people who want to try it first and tell me honestly what could be better. You can sign up on the price survey page.
And you can have your say on the price as well.
Sign up as a testerA few screens from the app, in light and dark. Tap an image to view it larger. Then use the button to switch between light and dark mode.
Four short questions about the price, two minutes of your time. Fully anonymous, only the amounts are stored, nothing else. I'm also looking for people to help test the app once the first version is on Google Play - you can sign up for that there too.
Have your say on the priceWhen the app launches, you'll be able to try it free for three walks first. Here's what still needs to happen before that:
